Dear volunteers,

First of all, let us thank you for your continued interest in the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank. The 2007 edition was a tremendous success as we reached a new record of more then 2,000 volunteer registrations. This says a lot about how all of you are devoted to the success of our event, which is also, on many points, your event !

Due to the presentation of the 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing, China, in August, some changes have been made to both ATP and WTA schedules. Therefore, the 2008 Rogers Cup will exceptionally take place earlier than usual. Please note that this year’s tournament will be held July 26 – August 3, 2008.

We will soon be ready to receive volunteer applications; the online registration form should be available on the Rogers Cup website in March. (www.rogerscup.com). The paper registration form will be available at the reception of Uniprix Stadium before the end of January. For a second year, the Outstanding Volunteer Award, The Jean-Claude, will be given to a volunteer who will show high standards of commitment and devotion (past and present) towards the success of the Rogers Cup, as well as contagious enthusiasm throughout the event. Finally, he or she will have embodied the following values : flexibility, availability and versatility. Who will be the 2008 recipient ?

New Contests* for volunteers

1-For returning volunteers only:

To participate, all you need to do is refer us potential volunteers. Earn a chance to win for every person refered. To be eligible, the person that you refer has to be hired by one of the comittees and has to complete his or her shifts during the week. Make sure they write your name in the registration form where indicated !

2-For new volunteers:

A new volunteer will receive the “Rookie of the Year Award” as well as a prize. Selection criterias such as punctuality, availability and enthusiasm will be submitted to Committee Leaders who will then nominate the volunteers who will participate in the draw.
