There’s no better way to kick off the 2016 Rogers Cup presented by National Bank than with two full days of fun (and free!) activities that will leave the entire family ready for Canada’s premier tennis event. Drop by Aviva Centre on July 23 and 24 to be sure you don’t miss any of the exciting events taking place around the grounds and on the court.

1. Pick your bracket

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a millionaire overnight, now’s your chance to turn that fantasy to reality. Register for the Bracket Challenge online or through the Rogers Cup app and select your picks of who you think will be crowned this year’s champion after every match is completed. A perfectly-predicted bracket means you’ll be walking away from the tournament with an extra $1,000,000 spending cash in your pocket.

2. Challenge yourself

Through the weekend, fans can also participate in the Fan Challenge by using the Rogers Cup app and completing tasks at various stations throughout the grounds. There are lots of prizes to be won, including a grand-prize trip for two to the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals in London!

3. Watch the world No. 1

Novak Djokovic is set to hit the practice courts on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. to warm-up ahead of his 10th Rogers Cup appearance. Arrive early to make sure you snag a spot with a great view, so you can tell all of your friends you saw one of the game’s greats prepare for the tournament!

4. Be there for puck drop

Sticking on the topic of No. 1s – the first overall draft pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Connor McDavid will also be hitting the hard court. McDavid, along with other fantastic NHL stars Tyler Seguin, Jason Spezza, and many more, will trade in their skates for running shoes as they take on ATP players in the Sportsnet Ball Hockey Challenge. Stop by Centre Court Sunday at 2 p.m.

5. Slather on the sunscreen

Vasek Pospisil and Ombrelle are teaming up to make sure you’re covered during a long day under the bright sun! Be sure to visit the Ombrelle booth at 10 a.m. on Sunday for information on how to stay protected from the sun all summer and also for a chance to take on one of Canada’s top players in a tennis video game! Fans will have the chance to play against Vasek, and if they win a point, will be entered in a draw to win a backstage tour!

6. Keep the kids busy

Channel your inner artist – or just let the kids create some fridge-worthy artwork at the Pizzaville Free Community Weekend craft station. Kids (and kids at heart) have the opportunity to sit down and create some awesome crafts. If you’d rather leave the art to the professionals, there’s an airbrush tattoo artist and face painters on-site, as well as a caricature artist and balloon expert. If the kids still have any energy left, be sure to swing by the main stage for air guitar contests, music, dancing and much more happening throughout the entire weekend.

Pizzaville Free Community Weekend takes place on Saturday and Sunday, and will feature world-class tennis on the court and many more fun games and activities off the court. Come by to be a part of all the excitement!
