Canadian Fed Cup Team Meet Fans

August 14, 2005 - Four members of the Canadian Fed Cup team took time off from the courts Sunday to sign autographs for fans at the Rogers Cup presented by American Express at the Rexall Centre at York University. As well as signing, Marie Eve Pelletier, Sharon Fichman, Stephanie Dubois and Aleksandra Wozniak took part in a fun quiz which tested their tennis knowledge against that of a foursome of keen young tennis fans.

When it was over, Pelletier, Dubois and Wozniak began concentrating on another task: competing in the first round of the Rogers Cup. The trio received automatic entry into the Rogers Cup as wild cards. In the first round Wozniak will play Japan’s Shinobu Asagoe ranked No. 29 on the Sony Ericsson WTA tour. Dubois will play a yet-to-be named qualifier. Pelletier will play China’s Na Li, No. 43.
