Rogers Cup Main Singles Draw Set

August 13, 2005 - Defending Rogers Cup champion Amelie Mauresmo took part Saturday in making the main singles draw for the Rogers Cup presented by American Express at the Rexall Centre at York University. Mauresmo surfaced as the No. 2 seed following the placement of Russian Maria Sharapova as the tournament’s top seed.

First round matches start Monday at 11 a.m. (Gates Open at 10) and promise some early fireworks. Three Canadians will see first-round action as wild cards: Aleksandra Wozniak, Stephanie Dubois and Marie-Eve Pelletier.
