At 10 a.m. on Saturday, the qualification rounds of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank will get underway at Uniprix Stadium in Montréal.
Five Canadians are among the 28 players who were selected for the tough challenge. Isade Juneau will have the honour of getting the tennis balls rolling on National Bank Court. He will face first seed Nicolas Mahut of France. Next up is Peter Polansky versus Rajeev Ram (10) of the US. At the same time on court no.9, David Volfson will try to make the most of the invitation he received against Yen-Hsun Lu (5) of Taiwan.
In the afternoon, Canadian Brayden Schnur will battle Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium on court no.9 and Kelsey Stevenson will head out to court no.5 for his showdown with Hyeon Chung (6) of Korea.
The qualifying rounds wrap up on Sunday. The seven winners will then enter the main draw, which starts on Monday.
