Tweets of the week: There were some MAJOR life milestones this week

Saturday, May 4

There are numerous milestones in the wonderful journey of life. It could be working one’s dream job or buying a house. Obviously athletes are no different from normal folk like you and I… and some of them achieved mega milestones this week!

Amazing news was shared by Sloane Stephens and Toronto FC striker Jozy Altidore. The couple announced they’re officially engaged earlier in the week.

Honestly? We’re obsessed with this sports power couple!

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… a baby in the baby carriage (sorry I had to). World No. 9 John Isner found out the gender of his second child the best way: hitting a serve!

If you follow Denis Shapovalov on Instagram, you know he and his team like to have some fun with each other. It was no different when they arrived in Madrid in preparation for the ATP 1000 event.

Wolf packs always sit together.

One of the featured tweets a couples weeks ago was about Canadian Nicaise Muamba’s impressive season in the NCAA. Thanks to his great rookie campaign, Liberty University awarded him the Male Newcomer of the Year.

Keep an eye on this one moving forward.

Everyone faces adversity on numerous occasions. The consistent grind could wear people down, but current world No. 6 Elina Svitolina will inspire to keep going. #MotivationMonday

Some of Great Britain’s best met way back in 2006. Andy Murray made sure he put on a show for the soccer legend David Beckham.

Murphy was 18, while Beckham was 29 at the time. How time flies…..

Legendary tennis player Andre Agassi is one year away from the half-century mark! The eight-time Grand Slam champion turned 49 on Monday. His son Jaden tweeted a nice birthday wish for his father!

Back to Svitolina for a second. This past Monday was also international dance day and the Ukrainian may have found her calling after tennis.

The Rafa Nadal Academy got a special guest for the week in world No. 1 Naomi Osaka. The 21-year-old is training at Nadal’s school in preparation for the Madrid Open.

Why not take a picture of a legend + one that is on her way to that status?

Tennis players need to stop and smell the roses while they traveling. Kei Nishikori went to the pitch to watch Barcelona take on Liverpool in the Champions League semi-finals. The World No. 7 witnessed Lionel Messi score two goals in under seven minutes to snag the first leg 3-0.
