Canadian Milos Raonic raced through his third-round match at Rogers Cup presented by National Bank and booked his spot among the remaining eight Thursday night in Toronto. Raonic downed American qualifier Jared Donaldson 6-2, 6-3 in just over an hour.

Raonic also showed off some impressive touch in the win, with a winding, spinning volley.
The victory sets up a quarter-final meeting with Gael Monfils. Raonic has already faced the Frenchman in two quarter-finals this year, at the Australian Open and Indian Wells, and emerged the winner in both matches. Monfils looks for his second consecutive win versus a Canadian. He ousted Vancouver’s Vasek Pospisil on Wednesday, before outlasting Davis Goffin in the third round.
