ATP World Tour Profile: Denis Shapovalov and Félix Auger-Aliassime

Canadian rising stars Denis Shapovalov and Félix Auger-Aliassime sat down with the ATP World Tour this week in Toronto to discuss their recent junior success, where their games are at and what improvements they continue to make.

At just 15-years-old, Auger-Aliassime is the youngest in the ATP’s Top 600, having been the first player born in the 2000’s to register not only a pro ranking, but a win at the Challenger level. The Montréal native’s junior results have also seen highs this season, including reaching the French Open boys’ singles final and the boys’ doubles final of Wimbledon alongside Shapovalov.

The 17-year-old Shapovalov’s pro level accolades are equally impressive. At World No.371, he made his ATP main draw debut at the Citi Open in Washington last week, where he fell in a highly competitive three-set match with Lukas Lacko.

The junior Wimbledon champ will play his second pro-level match tonight against Nick Kyrgios on Centre Court.
