As the COVID-19 pandemic situation continues to develop, we feel it is important to provide you with an update regarding the status of Rogers Cup presented by National Bank in Toronto. As things currently stand, the Toronto tournament is still scheduled for 2020, however the current climate means that contingency plans must be put in place.

As you know, the Montreal Rogers Cup has been postponed to 2021 following the measures imposed by the Government of Quebec prohibiting the holding of events until August 31, 2020. Such an announcement has not been made by the Ontario Government, who is currently focusing on their provincial reopening plan.

We would also like to inform you that the ATP Tour recently informed us that they have pushed back their deadline for a decision regarding the North American hard court series of tournaments, which includes Rogers Cup, from June 1st to June 15th.

We understand that there is a strong possibility that our tournament will be postponed to next year, but Tennis Canada continues to explore alternative options for the Toronto tournament, including staging an event without spectators. In this case, or in the event that Rogers Cup in Toronto is postponed to 2021, you will receive complete details relating to your tickets following the June 15th announcement made by the ATP Tour.

We greatly appreciate your support as it enables Tennis Canada to fulfill its mission of ensuring the growth of tennis across the country.

Thank you for your patience and rest assured that we will contact you in June as soon as a decision is made regarding Rogers Cup.
