Tweets of the week: ATP players are rocking their social distancing

Friday, Mar 20

Well, it’s been quite a couple of weeks. Self-isolation and social distancing, which at first seemed like mere suggestions, have become the norm. As the tennis world continues to do its part to stem the flow of COVID-19, Canadian players have found creative ways to #StayAtHome.

How about some outdoor, window-to-window table tennis? Which do they run out of first: balls or patience? 😂.

The #StayAtHome challenge has been gaining traction across the Internet, with tennis players among those taking part. Keep an eye on this hashtag over the next few days, as more and more tennis players will certainly be participating. Great celly at the end, Vasek!

No gym, no problem for Steven Diez. Everyone is hitting the home gym these days, but is everyone having a birthday during a pandemic?

FAA continues to know exactly what to say during these trying times. Maturity beyond his years. 🙌

In other news, Roland Garros rescheduled its Grand Slam. A big move!

A few players and pundits had strong thoughts about the choice to move Roland Garros.

Meanwhile, there’s been some healthy debate surrounding ranking points over the last few weeks. The response to this tweet are definitely worth your time.

Ultimately, most of us just are just going through the motions until sports return. Glad we’re in the same boat, Shapo. 😂

Take a couple of minutes and watch this excellent video from Vasek. These are unprecedented times, but we’ll get through them together. 🙏
